Who We Are
Algorithmic Research Group is a for-profit research lab run by @baykenney and a rotating cast of contractors. We're small on purpose.
We build benchmarks, datasets, and infrastructure for evaluating what autonomous AI systems can actually do. Everything we ship is open source. Safety research that can't be independently verified isn't safety research.
We fund the research through consulting work and sponsorships.
How We Work
Small team, open output
One person full-time. Specialists brought in as projects demand. No permanent headcount for its own sake. Just the people the work actually needs.
For-profit, public-interest
We're a for-profit company that publishes everything. The structure keeps us lean and self-directed. The open-source commitment keeps the work honest.
Built to be used
We don't build demos. Our benchmarks, datasets, and tools are designed to be picked up and used by other researchers, auditors, and teams doing real evaluation work.
Sponsor Directly
Sponsorships fund open-source benchmarks, datasets, and tooling for AI security research. Everything we build with sponsor support ships public.
Sponsorships are not tax-deductible.
